Analysis of Human Movement

The MAC uses functional joint methods and custom skeletal models to accurately quantify human motion. Focus areas in human movement research include arthrokinematic knee motion, foot motion, fall risk, and pediatric gait.

Remote functional assessment of movement

Depth cameras and portable 1D force plates are used to assess movement for rehabilitation, performance, and injury risk outside the gait lab.

Analysis of Knee Biomechanics

Anterior Cruciate Ligament loading and injury mechanisms, Menisci mechanics and loading

Analysis of joing loading during movement

Combine custom muscle driven musculoskeletal models with subject specific geometries and gait data to analyze loading on knee structures and tissues during ambulation. These tools provide greater understanding of knee biomechanics and soft tissue function.
